DC Central Kitchen popular

Volunteers are an integral part of the D.C. Central Kitchen. Currently, over 5,000 volunteers a year come through the Kitchen. Church groups from across the country, local high school and college students, employees of major corporations, and individuals seeking to make a difference in our community to come together at the Kitchen. Working side by side with students of the Job Training Program, volunteers help to prepare 3,000 meals a day, 365 days a year. Volunteer opportunities are available seven days a week. Volunteers help in food preparation, kitchen upkeep, and outreach to residents of local homeless shelters.
